Tesla Boosts Model 3 RWD Range to 567 km with Latest Refresh

Earlier last month, Tesla Taiwan surprised the public by quietly updating its official website with detailed information about the refreshed Model 3. The update not only included notable exterior design enhancements but also marked the return of physical turn signal stalks, a feature that many Tesla owners had been requesting. Alongside these updates, the new Model 3 lineup also received significant improvements in driving range — both the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Performance variants saw an increase, with the RWD version climbing to 534 km on a single charge.

Now, in an unexpected move just about a month later, Tesla Taiwan has once again revised the specifications, further extending the Model 3 RWD’s range to an impressive 567 km — a gain of 33 km compared to the previous update. This brings it astonishingly close to the Performance version’s 568 km range, with only a 1 km difference between the two models.

In last month’s update, Tesla Taiwan had also announced several notable changes. The standard exterior color was upgraded free of charge to the elegant Stealth Black, replacing the previous default option. The company also introduced a front-facing camera, a blacked-out rear Tesla badge (with the front emblem removed entirely), and of course, the return of the physical turn signal stalks — a move praised by many traditional drivers who prefer tactile controls over touch-based interfaces. Meanwhile, the Long Range (AWD) version was temporarily removed from the lineup, though the RWD variant’s range was increased from 527 km to 534 km, and the Performance version saw its range jump from 528 km to 568 km.

The latest update now pushes the RWD version even further, giving it a range nearly identical to the top-tier Performance trim. However, Tesla Taiwan has not provided specific details on what exactly led to this new improvement. It remains unclear whether the enhancement stems from battery optimization, software calibration, or a combination of both.

As of now, Tesla Taiwan continues to offer two variants of the new Model 3 — the RWD model priced at NT$1,699,900 and the Performance model priced at NT$2,337,900. While the Long Range AWD version remains officially “on pause,” its configuration page has not been completely removed from Tesla’s ordering site, leaving room for speculation that it might return in the near future.

In summary, with the refreshed Model 3 lineup, Tesla continues to refine its electric sedan for the Taiwan market — improving range, restoring beloved features, and introducing subtle yet meaningful design changes that enhance both performance and driving experience.
